REI Broadcast – Faq

Can I get a free trial?

Yes! Every new account comes with a 7-day free trial of our services.

You simply pay for minutes, and will not be charged for your subscription until after your 7-day free trial period has expired.

What are your Billing Increments?

We bill in 15-Sec Increments, vs the competition who bill up to 60-second increments. Here is an example of our billing vs a competitor:

Broadcast Info Them US
Total Calls Price Per Minute Avg Broadcast Price Per Call Total Cost Price Per Call Total Cost Savings
50,000 0.015 27 seconds 0.015 $750 0.0075 $375 $375
What are the Computer Requirements?

The REI Broadcast platform requires a web browser and Internet access supporting Adobe Flash. Users have successfully used the software on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. We recommend a minimum 2GB of RAM.

What if I am experiencing poor voice quality?

80% of voice quality issues are the result of the end user’s internet connection. High quality voice conversations require an extremely consistent (low jitter) connection to our servers. To isolate possible problems, we recommend network administrators download Colasoft Ping Tool and setup a continuous ping to 1) our server and 2) a constant server like google.com. Poor voice quality caused by the network will manifest itself in any packet loss in excess of 1%. REI Broadcast recommends always using a WIRED (not wi-fi) always-on connection like Fiber or Broadband Cable. In certain situations where the internet connection is being shared it might be necessary to implement VoIP QoS on your router. Please consult your network administrator for further instructions.
